Besides being able to determine the total inventory of a timberland, Forest Inventory Group can determine how much timber could be harvested from a property in the short term and advise clients on logging costs and market values. Our past projects include executing fairly complex inventory sample designs under the direction of a forest biometrician, Dr. Kim Iles.

In addition to employing the conventional timber inventory techniques, we've specialized in the following techniques that allow us to greatly reduce the most expensive part of any inventory effort, the field work. These alternative inventory methods can be used to more quickly and cheaply "tune up" a client's existing inventory figures or as completely new inventory efforts.

Forest Inventory Group can appraise timber property based on the volume of timber on a piece of property, the value of the timber and the value of the property.

In addition to existing timber volume information, Forest Inventory Group can also provide timber growth information to project future volume to allow the landowner to adopt the appropriate management options.
